HSC and equivalent examinations have been canceled this year due to ongoing coronavirus. Students will be graded based on their average marks in JSC and SSC examinations. Work is underway to create a guideline on how to grade. It is learned that the work of making the guideline will be completed this November.
On Tuesday (November 10) at noon, the President of the Inter-Education Coordination Sub-Committee and the Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board, Professor. Ziaul Haque. “We are always discussing how to grade HSC,” he said. We also had a meeting yesterday. We are trying to create a guideline in consultation with everyone. Hopefully, the work of making grade guidelines will be completed within this month. Then it will be finalized.
The average number of students in JSC and SSC examinations will be calculated based on the four criteria of contextual, regular, irregular, quality improvement and failure, the sources said. Work is currently underway to create guidelines on this. The Education Minister has promised to announce the results by December.
