The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has set a new price of gold at Tk 1,018 per gram. The information was given in a circular signed by Bajus president Enamul Haque Khan and general secretary Dilip Kumar Agarwala on Tuesday (December 1).
The new gold price will be effective from Wednesday (December 2). Earlier, the new price of gold was fixed at Tk 2,506 per quintal from November 25. As a result, the price of lotus gold is 3,063 rupees in two phases a week.
Bajus said in a statement that despite fears of a global economic downturn in the face of the second wave of the Corona, the fall in the dollar and oil prices, and the rise and fall of international and domestic gold prices, for the second time in a week. The money was reduced.
However, the price of silver will remain unchanged. According to the new price, from December 2, the price of good quality, i.e. 22 carat prativari (11.64 grams) gold has been fixed at Tk. The price of 21 carat gold has been fixed at Tk 69,518, 18 carat gold at Tk 80,069 and traditional gold at Tk 50,446.
Although the price of gold has come down, the pre-determined price of silver has remained the same. According to the category, the price of 22 carat silver has been fixed at 1516 rupees. The price of 21 carat silver has been fixed at Rs 1,435, 18 carat silver at Rs 1,225 and traditional method silver at Rs 933.
